What is the appropriate resolution for picture or graphic files that ensures high-quality and clarity in print?
The rule of thumb is that picture resolution should be twice the size of the line screen in which the piece will be printed. In most cases 300 DPI (dots per inch) is appropriate.
How much of a bleed edge should I allow for in my design?
A measurement of 1/8" on each side of the design is fine, unless the print needs to be die cut. In this case you should allow 1/4" around the outside edge .
